Cutting-edge technology for the farmers of Upper Austria

Together with the Ländliches Fortbildungsinstitut (LFI) – a training college for the agricultural sector – Fronius welcomed more than 80 farmers from the local area on 6th February 2018. The day was dedicated to the issue of solar energy, where PV experts Thomas Feitzlmaier and Simon Noringbauer from Fronius outlined over five hours the various options open to farmers for generating and storing their own solar electricity.

Fronius was not only the expert speaker, but was also the host: the event was held at the Sattledt site. As a result the delegates were not only informed about the latest trends and technologies from the PV sector, but were also able to see the work of Fronius through their own eyes on a guided factory tour.“It is important that we can demonstrate the advantages of our solutions in person. Many prejudices still persist, particularly when it comes to storing PV energy, which we are able to dispel through such seminars. The interest shown by the delegates shows us that the matter of generating and storing solar energy continues to throw up questions. Through seminars such as these we are able to answer these questions and give the delegates peace of mind,” reports Simon Noringbauer from Fronius.

In addition to the Fronius Service Package, the new Fronius Ohmpilot for heating solutions was also presented in more detail. This little device takes excess electricity that is not needed by other loads in the home and uses it to heat up water. This has the effect of significantly boosting the rate of self-consumption.
