Silver for Fronius at the Rooftop Solar Congress

Fronius India has been awarded the silver medal in the “Solar Inverter Company of the Year” category at this year’s “India Rooftop Solar Congress”. With this award, the congress has recognised the technological expertise and innovative qualities typical of Fronius, its products and its solutions.

The annual “India Rooftop Solar Congress” is India’s most important business event for the country’s rapidly growing solar industry, which has now reached a total capacity of 40,000 MW. Taking centre stage amongst the countless discussions concerning business models, financing options, the political environment and new technological highlights, were the most innovative solar companies. Once again the congress jury confirmed the qualities of Fronius:“Fronius is the leading player in developing new solar solutions and improving existing technologies. The inverters are future-proof and ready for the grid of tomorrow, demonstrating how Fronius understands the increasing demand for electricity in India. With 25 years of experience in the solar industry, we members of the jury are confident that Fronius will continue to develop pioneering solutions and services.”

V. Kamath, managing director of Fronius India, adds: “We are delighted to be one of the companies to have been recognised in this way and to have received this prestigious award. Some of our innovative products and services of recent years have helped us to achieve this prize, such as the Fronius Smart Meter, Fronius Datamanager 2.0 and the high overloading performance of the Fronius Eco.”

India has made immense progress in expanding its renewable energy base in the past few years. In 2015, the Indian government announced its intention for 40% of the country’s energy to be supplied from non-fossil fuel sources by 2030. This would require a quadrupling of India’s current renewable energy capacity and represents a clear acknowledgment of our vision of 24 hours of sun – a future in which humanity covers 100% of our energy requirements using renewable energy sources.
