Fronius UK supports local food bank
Every year, Fronius UK choose a local charity to support over the festive season and for 2018, they chose a theme with a difference – a reverse advent calendar.
Everyone knows what an advent calendar is with children and big kids enjoying a treat a day. Reverse advent calendar’s work in a similar way except you donate a food item a day to your local food bank to help those less fortunate at Christmas.
Keryanne Roxborough, member of the Fronius UK Social Committee comments “You never know when you will need the help of a food bank, and it’s a great cause that works hard for our local community”.
With most food banks needing the supplies ahead of Christmas, its best to start collecting in November.“We started collecting in November and will deliver the items collected in the first week of December” Keryanne continues. “We will also be collecting throughout December any additional items and will take those to the MK Food Bank in the run up to Christmas”.
It’s not too late to get involved. If you would like to run a similar collection for your local food bank, search online for your nearest one to get in touch and find out what items they need and when they need them delivered by.
