IQ Engineers crowned winners of the global TPS/i contest

Rachel Lewis, Director and joint owner of IQ Engineers, entered our social media contest to win a brand new TPS 320i C from Fronius never expecting to actually win. After being declared the winner, the team from Fronius UK visited IQ Engineers to deliver the system and to run them through all the features and functionalities of the TPS/i.

IQ Engineers, a family run company based in York, have been serving the water industry for over 30 years and supply, install and maintain mechanical equipment on clean water treatment and sewage sites across the UK. They engineer penstocks, sewage ejectors, distributors, dosing syphons and filter beds, pipework and mechanical installation.

Rachel was very happy to receive her prize and explained to Fronius that now they have a welding system with all the latest technology, this will enable the company to open up to new opportunities with regards to fabrications they currently have to sub contract out.

Mick Strodder, Managing Director and joint owner IQ Engineers, was very impressed and absolutely delighted to have won such an innovative welding system.

Brian Murphy, Application Engineer for Fronius UK, delivered the machine to IQ Engineers and demonstrated its capabilities to them. When going through the list of materials they now have the capability to weld, they were very impressed but when he mentioned Duplex, they soon realised that this opens up even more possibilities for them.

IQ Engineers plan to recruit new apprentices this year and will be incorporating welding and fabrication into the curriculum so they can fully utilise their new TPS 320i C.
