Fronius continues on the path to success in Ukraine

Company

2017/10/03
As the quality leader on the global solar energy market, Fronius Solar Energy is also enjoying success in Ukraine. The company has a local presence with its own branch near Kiev, from which customers benefit from a comprehensive range of consultancy and other services. Fronius inverters are now even easier to install, with a special software setup that adapts the devices to the applicable grid requirements in Ukraine, such as voltage regulation and support. All important documents are also available in the national language. Special training sessions, seminars and workshops for Fronius Sales and Service Partners complete the offering.
In September, a warehouse for spare and replacement was erected at the Ukrainian site roughly 20 kilometres south-east of Kiev, allowing Fronius to significantly improve its after-sales service.
“To be successful abroad, it is not only important to offer innovative products that are of the highest quality, but also to provide our customers and Fronius Service Partners with comprehensive and effective support,” says Benjamin Fischer, Area Sales Manager at Fronius Solar Energy. On 1st July, a technical consultant was therefore appointed at the Fronius International Business Unit Solar Energy in Ukraine. “Our local technical consultant speaks fluent Ukrainian and English and can provide effective support for customers with questions regarding technical design or installation problems,” explains Fischer. Fronius works with a steadily growing team of certified Sales and Service Partners in the region. The team is able to attend regular training sessions, seminars, webinars and workshops on solar technology from Fronius. This training also falls under the remit of the new Fronius technical consultant. “Our training courses are so popular that they are almost always fully booked. For this reason, we will be increasing the number of available training sessions in the future,” explains Fischer. From 9th to 11th October, Fronius will be represented at the Sustainable Energy Forum in Kiev. “We are also offering an exciting training programme for our Fronius Service Partners following this event.”

After-sales service increases availability
In September, a warehouse for spare and replacement parts was erected at the Ukrainian site roughly 20 kilometres south-east of Kiev, allowing Fronius to significantly improve its after-sales service. “If a part needs replacing, we take care of the ordering, transport and customs obligations. What's more, our customers receive a replacement device within one day, which reduces downtimes to a minimum,” explains Fischer. This is a huge advantage for both partners and end users. The latter also receive a free seven-year warranty on materials. To validate the warranty, they simply need to register the inverter in question in the Fronius Solar.web online monitoring tool. An additional benefit of choosing Fronius is that all the relevant data sheets, Installation and Operating Instructions, and Fronius Solar.web, are available in the national language. A particular highlight is a software setup developed specifically for Ukraine, which is implemented in the inverter. This adapts the device automatically to the specific grid requirements of the country with respect to voltage regulation and support.

Ukraine is a promising market
“The Business Unit Solar Energy is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. What makes us stand out is products and services of the highest quality, along with our technical know-how and years of experience,” explains Fischer. The expert has a positive outlook regarding the cultivation of the solar market in Ukraine and believes that this segment has high potential. “Our goal this year is to sell systems with a total output of 100 megawatts. We are well on our way to achieving this.” Fronius Ukraine is currently working on several projects simultaneously, which are scattered across the entire country. “Each individual system brings us closer to achieving our vision of 24 hours of sun, a future in which 100% of the world’s energy needs are covered by renewable sources”, enthuses Fischer.
