As SPAR places great emphasis on sustainability and the responsible use of natural resources, the company relies solely on Fronius battery charging systems. A total of 53 battery charging systems from the Selectiva product family, with their Active Inverter Technology and an efficiency level of up to 94 percent, allow the food retailer to make significant savings on energy costs. Purchasing costs for new batteries are also reduced, as the constant charging current and voltage optimise the charge. This significantly increases the service life of the batteries.

Using the Selectiva devices, individual battery cells can be charged and even heavily sulphated batteries can be brought back to life with the selectable deep discharge characteristic. With its innovative battery charging technology, Fronius has made a significant contribution to efficiency and sustainability at SPAR.
