Impressive technology wows visitors

Company

2017-06-06 / Munich
From 31st May to 2nd June, Fronius exhibited its wide range of solutions for intelligent and efficient energy generation and usage at Intersolar 2017 in Munich, the world’s leading specialist trade fair for the solar industry. The Fronius trade fair stand attracted countless visitors, who showed great interest in solutions for energy sector integration, in economically and technologically sustainable innovations for module electronics, as well as data preparation and analysis tools such as the online platform Fronius Solar. web. The guests were further impressed by the extensive range of services on offer. The 25th anniversary of the Business Unit Solar Energy was also celebrated in style.

“Intersolar was once again a great success for Fronius this year,” summarises Martin Hackl, head of the Business Unit Solar Energy, Fronius International GmbH. “Not only were we delighted by the number of visitors to our stand and the positive feedback, but also by the keen interest in our vision of 24 hours of sun. The trade fair visitors were especially interested in our solutions for energy sector integration.” The economically and technologically sustainable module electronics solutions that Fronius is developing together with the American manufacturer of integrated circuits, Maxim Integrated, also enjoyed a high level of interest. Many visitors were impressed by the benefits of this technology – namely the significant time and cost savings (as nothing needs to be installed on the solar module), optimum yields, maximum flexibility and safety in one future-proof technology.  “We have been active in the field of solar energy for 25 years. There are very few companies in the sector that have such a long history. Values such as quality, innovation, service and partnership have been brought to the fore throughout this period and still distinguish us from our competitors today,” observes Martin Hackl.

Visitor magnet: intelligent energy sector integration

The exhibition space for energy sector integration also drew a large crowd. There is currently great potential for efficiently using renewable energy sources by combining electricity, heat and mobility. “Our vision of 24 hours of sun, a future where global energy requirements are completely met by renewables, can only be achieved through the intelligent electrification of fossil energy and if the required electricity is generated from renewable sources. We already offer exciting solutions to do just that,” explains Martin Hackl. Fronius presented various solutions to that end at Intersolar, including the Fronius Ohmpilot consumption regulator, which enables continuous regulation of heat sources. Martin Hackl uses an example to demonstrate how Fronius technology can be used to make the most of synergies: “E-mobility increases self-consumption by up to 20 percent. Controlling a heat pump with the Fronius Energy Management function in the inverter adds another 20 percent. The Fronius Ohmpilot then increases self-consumption by a further 50 to 70 percent. This means, with energy sector integration, up to 100 percent of the electricity produced can be used at source.” The Smart Meter and online monitoring tool Fronius Solar.web provide a clear overview of power consumption.

All-round service impresses visitors and partner companies

Fronius was also able to impress at Intersolar with its extensive service competences. The company stands for quality, service, reliability and partnership. That is why the manufacturer relies on an extensive network of partners and comprehensive technical support: experts can be reached at any time via the service hotline and Fronius Solar Online Support (SOS).
