This year Fronius USA had 2 separate and unique booth spaces – the first
being customer interaction oriented and the other being solely related to the
welding world.
In the first booth, customers could see static machines on
display, static robots outfitted with the push-pull system and CMT, as well as
an area highlighting the Online Demo Shop. A coffee bar and customer lounge
area afforded attendees the time to sit down with the sales team to discuss
their unique challenges. In addition there was also an area dedicated to the
Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) campaign. WWP is a charity and veterans service
organization that offers a variety of programs, services, and events for
wounded veterans of the military actions following September 11, 2001. Visitors
could enter a drawing to win a Limited Edition TP180 Veterans Camouflage Edition
which Fronius USA is donating up to $50,000 USD from the proceeds to the WWP. Each
visitor who entered also received a limited edition camouflage baseball cap embroidered with the Fronius and WWP logos. The idea of this campaign was simple
– Fronius USA wanted to give thanks to the many Veterans employed at the company as
well as all Veterans in the USA.
In the second booth were 4 habitats where live
welding was taking place. Two shipping containers were outfitted for
construction and fabrication and allowed visitors the chance to go inside and
actually weld with the products. In addition there was also live automotive
welding on galvanized steel in the Automotive habitat and Flex Track Pipe
Welding in the Automation habitat. As at the S&S expo, the WeldCube data
management system was
collecting and displaying live data from all four of the habitats. We would like to thank all who visited our booths.
FABTECH will return in 2018 in
Atlanta, GA, November 6th – 8th. We hope to see you there!
