Fronius USA donated Safety gear to the Ivy Tech Welding Program in Valparaiso, Indiana
Students taking welding courses at vocational colleges often are weeks into their program before they have all of their PPE gear. This is a challenge that many of them face and the students at Ivy Tech in Valparaiso IN are no exception.
While learning to weld it is crucial to be protected especially when dealing with Oxy fuel cutting/welding and SMAW. It is also important that during these shorter 8 week programs the students get as much time under the hood as possible.
We are happy to help shape our future generation of welders and therefore decided to donate PPE gear to the program. Included was enough to gear up to 12 students with welding gloves, welding jackets and Fronius Fazor 1000 Plus welding hoods. Forrest Clavette, Account Sales Manager, recently made a visit to the school to drop off the donation as well as an additional 50 welding beanies. While he was there he met the students and made a demo on the AccuPocket. The students and staff were elated to not only get the PPE gear for their program but also to learn more about Fronius.
