Fronius MagicCleaner

Electrochemical cleaning of TIG welds

Stainless steel: Optimal system for reworking TIG welds and surfaces

Our MagicCleaner series represents innovative technology for the treatment of TIG welds and stainless steel surfaces— facilitating the cleaning, polishing, and inscribing of stainless steel.

In contrast to mechanical or chemical cleaning, the material surface is not affected by the process, and no work-in time is required. Furthermore, an additional passivation process is no longer necessary.

Total flexibility

Cleaning and passivation in only one working step
Our MagicCleaner lets you clean and passivate TIG welds and stainless steel surfaces in a single working step.
Cost-effective electrolyte consumption
Whether using the tube screwed onto the cleaning torch or the 1.8 l tank (MC300) supplied, in both cases the electrolyte consumption can be dosed easily and precisely—ensuring sustainability and conserving resources.
Ready to use in no more than 3 steps
Our intuitive operating concept makes commissioning quick and easy for the user. All the important parameters (operating mode, cleaning performance, electrolyte dosage) are visible and can be set on the front of the appliance.
Innovative inverter technology
We employ inverter technology to achieve lower power consumption with the same output power. This results in lightweight and energy-efficient appliances.

Before / after

One device, three functions

Cleaning, polishing, printing
The MagicCleaner represents an advanced system of electrochemical cleaning devices: facilitating the cleaning, polishing, and inscribing of stainless steel.

1. Cleaning

The electrochemical cleaning process uses alternating current (AC) and electrolyte fluid to remove and passivate temper coloration after welding.

2. Polishing

Electrochemical polishing is a process in which part of the base material is removed from the workpiece and the surface is lightened: The result is an even shine after cleaning. This improves the passivation process of the stainless steel.

3. Printing

For permanent marking of stainless steel with company logos, item numbers, barcodes, etc. Alternating current (AC) is used for black printing and direct current (DC) for white printing. The perfect alternative to stickers or laser engraving.
