They are usually mounted on the roof and convert sunlight into electrical
energy.
The
inverter is the heart and brain of every PV system and makes solar energy truly
usable. It converts the direct current generated by the PV modules into
alternating current, which is required for all household appliances and the
power grid. Smart products such as the Fronius GEN24 also enable efficient energy
management and the integration of additional components for even higher
self-consumption.
A smart
meter is the basis for optimizing your PV system. It measures all energy
flows coming from or flowing into the grid.
A PV system
with a hybrid inverter such as the Fronius GEN24 Plus can be expanded
with our Fronius Reserva battery storage system, offering two major
advantages: Firstly, electricity that is not consumed directly by the household
or fed into the grid is stored in the battery and can then be used long after
the sun has gone down. Secondly, such a PV system offers additional security
by continuing to produce energy for your own household in the event of a
power failure.
Those who
use surplus solar power for their electric car significantly increase their
self-consumption. From day one, you can charge your electric car with solar
power, which is cheaper than electricity from the grid. With special
PV-optimized wallboxes such as the Fronius Wattpilot Flex, you can
charge your electric car in a particularly smart and flexible way.
Consumption
controllers such as the Fronius Ohmpilot use surplus solar energy to
generate hot water or for heating. From April to October, solar power can cover
the majority of a household's hot water needs. This allows you to maximize your
self-consumption, reduce your CO2 emissions, and protect your heating system.
