Fronius Velo
Precise guidance for manual welding processes

The new dimension in
manual MIG/MAG welding
Faster, lighter, more efficient
Long weld seams pose a particular challenge in manual MIG/MAG welding. It’s difficult to keep the welding torch steady and maintain a constant speed, which often leads to uneven results.
This is where the Velo velocity assistant comes in, making the welding process noticeably easier and supporting both experienced welding professionals and beginners alike. It is compatible with all the main Fronius welding processes such as Standard, LSC, Pulse, PMC, and CMT.
The benefits of Velo for you

Easy handling
Even less-experienced welders can quickly produce high-quality welds as it is easier to keep the welding torch steady. Velo also relieves the strain for experienced welders, especially on long welds.

Quick determination of parameters
Setting welding parameters is much simpler thanks to SyNext. Configurations are perfect and precise from start to finish, enhancing both the efficiency and the quality of the welding job.

Increased welding speed
Compared to conventional manual MIG/MAG welding, Velo’s simplified torch guidance can as much as double welding speeds. And speaking of speed, welders who work with Velo can certainly compete with welding robots, depending on the application.

More precise results
Constant welding speeds and an optimum distance between the contact tip and the workpiece (contact tip to work distance, CTWD) ensure uniform heat input and lead to higher quality welds.
