Laptops, PCs, cell phones, networks, printers—they all need to be installed, configured, and repaired if necessary. Course details

As an IT specialist in system technology, you’ll work in companies with computer-controlled production machines. Together with your colleagues, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the IT infrastructure. Your area of responsibility is extremely broad. From configuring devices and installing server systems and networks to maintaining data storage and backup systems, it’s all in your hands.

  • Training in IT basics, learning about hardware and software
  • Getting to know all regional Fronius sites and their IT infrastructure
  • Getting to know and participating in the ITE Onsite and ITE ServiceDesk training stations
  • Familiarization with IT monitoring tools (monitoring of IT systems)
  • Familiarization with IT server systems (backup system, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory)
  • Familiarization with IT networks (switches, VLAN, routers, WLAN access points, MPLS, communication systems)
  • Getting to know IT security (firewalls, VPN, virus filters)
Lehre bei Fronius - 2. Lehrjahr
  • ITE Onsite and ITE ServiceDesk training station lasting several weeks
  • Getting to know and participating in IT projects (project management, simple work packages)
  • Familiarization with IT quality management (documentation according to standards, MS SharePoint)
  • Assistance with and administration of server systems (e.g., VSphere, AirWatch, Linux systems)
  • Participation in the IT hardware/software ordering process (IT orders Epaxios platform, complaints processing)
  • Introduction to the Fronius IT Datacenter (installation/removal of IT components, cabling, air conditioning and backup power)

  • Independent IT monitoring (CA Spectrum, Cisco DNA Center, SCOM, Cisco ISE)
  • Independent IT backup process (change LTO tapes, restore data, Veeam)
  • Automated software distribution (SCCM, software packaging and distribution)
  • IT communication systems (MS Teams, mobile telephony, conference systems)
  • Participation in Fronius construction projects (development of IT network infrastructure – LAN/WLAN)

  • IT server systems (restoring data, managing access authorizations, troubleshooting support)

  • Independently processing and solving 2nd & 3rd level tickets
