Above all, welders working on rail car assemblies depend on reliable equipment in addition to their extensive experience and fine motor skills. Only if the welding machine can deliver the right arc for every application will the weld quality demanded in standards like EN 15085-2 or DIN EN ISO 3834-2 be reliably and consistently achieved.

To ensure that the high quality requirements in rail car construction are met every time, Tatravagónka depends on the TransSteel 5000 Pulse. Designed from the outset for the challenges of steel welding, the system is robust, easy to use, and packed with intelligent functions.
The pulsed arc enables a high welding speed on thicker materials while also reducing spattering and rework. With out-of-position welding—and overhead welding in particular—the arc pressure can be increased through pulse corrections for better control over the weld pool. This dynamic correction also supports root pass welding of thick sheets to guarantee stable and reliable results.
The ArcRover welding carriage is used for welding steel beams of several meters in length, producing single-layer fillet welds in a consistently high quality at speeds of up to 250 cm/min.
