Fronius customers receive Fronius products as standard with a warranty period of two years ex works.

After registering a Fronius inverter in Fronius Solar.web, system owners can opt for one of our attractive warranty models free of charge.* The following options are available:

Warranty model for inverters up to 12.5 kW

3-year Fronius Warranty Plus and 5-year Fronius Warranty upon registration

Product registration in Fronius Solar.web

Following a quick and free registration process at www.solarweb.com, owners of a Fronius product can select an attractive warranty model (depending on their region) that perfectly fits their individual requirements.

  • Open the following page: www.solarweb.com
  • Don’t have a Solar.web account yet? Click “Login” then “Register now” to create a new Solar.web account
  • Fill in the required fields and follow the subsequent steps to complete account setup
  • Already have an account? Log in to your Solar.web account
  • Open the menu item “Product registration”
  • Enter your serial number
  • Select the date of commissioning, your country, and your installer
  • Select your chosen warranty model
  • The warranty certificate will then be available for download.

Purchase warranty extensions for greater protection

Reliability, a long service life, and sustainability are essential for PV system owners, as well as for Fronius.

That’s why we offer warranty extensions for up to 20 years, allowing system owners to benefit from Fronius’ proven, high-quality support throughout the system’s service life.

Fronius Warranty Extension

The Fronius Warranty Extension is a cost-effective way to protect system owners against risks. If a claim is made, Fronius will provide the relevant materials and the warranty holder does not have to pay for the spare part.

Fronius Warranty Extension Plus

With the Fronius Warranty Extension Plus, you benefit from extensive coverage and protection. In the event of a warranty claim, Fronius will cover both the transport costs and the material costs. Furthermore, Fronius will reimburse the costs for removal and installation to the installer on a flat-rate basis.

* Warranty conditions and services may vary depending on country and region. Fronius accessories are excluded from product registration. To qualify for the free warranty extension, new Fronius inverters commissioned on or after September 1, 2023 must be registered in Fronius Solar.web. For further warranty requirements or limitations, please refer to the warranty conditions for your country.

    FAQ

    When Fronius dispatches your Fronius inverter, it has a statutory manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty term and services may vary depending on your country and region. For details, refer to the applicable warranty conditions. If you register your device in the Solar.web portal within 30 months of dispatch, the warranty period begins on the installation date.

    Once you have completed the warranty application process, the certificate is displayed in Fronius Solar.web under Product registration next to the registered inverter.

    If you are unable to see your inverter there, this may be because you only have guest rights for the photovoltaic system in Solar.web. You must have at least supervisor or owner permissions. If you do experience this issue, please contact the person who assigned your user permissions. They will be able to confirm whether you are registered, send you your warranty certificate, or change your system user rights so that you can view the registration.

    • It is only possible to extend the warranty if your inverter is still covered by an existing warranty and the maximum warranty term of 20 years has not been exceeded.
    • If you are not automatically redirected from product registration to the extended warranty options, this may be due to maintenance work. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact our customer service team via our contact form and state the email address associated with your user account.
    • If an open service process exists in relation to the serial number, it is only possible to extend the warranty once this has been completed.
    The price varies depending on the specific inverter model. When you select the warranty extension, the applicable price will be displayed.
    Solar.web always shows the current warranty end date. If this date is incorrect or does not change after a warranty extension, please contact customer service via the contact form citing the email address associated with your user account.

    You can cancel the purchase within 14 days. Please contact our customer service team via the contact form and state the email address associated with Solar.web.

    After cancellation, the warranty certificate is no longer valid. When verifying whether a warranty exists for a product, the information in the Fronius system is relevant and not the warranty certificate. To check your warranty term, refer to the product registration in your user account.

    Although Ohmpilot and Smart Meter have serial numbers, they cannot be registered in Fronius Solar.web because an extended warranty is not available for them. Your invoice serves as proof of warranty.

    Batteries from BYD or LG are not Fronius products and therefore cannot be registered.
