FAQ & downloads

Fronius products are generally supplied with a statutory guarantee. In addition, Fronius inverters come with free warranty cover, provided the inverter is registered on the Solar.web portal within 30 months of delivery. This warranty cover starts when the product is commissioned, but no later than 24 months after shipment from the Fronius factory, whichever comes first.

The warranty term and services may vary depending on your country and region. For details, refer to the applicable warranty conditions.

Once you have completed the warranty application process, the certificate is displayed in Fronius Solar.web under Product registration next to the registered inverter.

If you are unable to see your inverter there, this may be because you only have guest rights for the photovoltaic system in Solar.web. You must have at least supervisor or owner permissions. If you do experience this issue, please contact the person who assigned your user permissions. They will be able to confirm whether you are registered, send you your warranty certificate, or change your system user rights so that you can view the registration.

  • You can only purchase a warranty extension for your inverter within the first 6 months of the free warranty period commencing.
  • If you are not automatically redirected from the product registration page to the extended warranty options, this may be due to maintenance work. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact our customer service team via our contact form and state the e-mail address associated with your user account.
  • If an open service request associated with a serial number exists, a paid warranty extension can only be purchased once that request has been resolved.
The price varies depending on the specific inverter model. When you select the warranty extension, the applicable price will be displayed.
Here you will find the expiration date of your warranty. It may take up to 24 hours for the data to update after a warranty extension. If the end date is incorrect or does not change after a warranty extension, please contact customer service via the contact form citing the e-mail address associated with your user account.

A return is possible within 14 days of purchase. Please contact our customer service team via the contact form and state the e-mail address associated with Solar.web.

The warranty certificate is no longer valid after return. When verifying whether a warranty exists for a product, the information in the Fronius system is relevant and not the warranty certificate. To check your warranty term, refer to the product registration in your user account.

Although Ohmpilot and Smart Meter have serial numbers, they cannot be registered in Fronius Solar.web because an extended warranty is not available for them. Your invoice serves as proof of warranty.

Batteries from BYD or LG are not Fronius products and therefore cannot be registered.
