More information

Rascal Seed Research Laboratories was founded in 1993 as the first privately owned company in South Africa to produce minitubers, a special type of potato. The company is the largest producer of early generation potato seed in the country.

To save energy costs and help protect the environment, Rascal has made the decision to invest in a PV system. PV specialists from RenEnergy are responsible for the installation of a 250 kWp system, comprising nine Fronius Eco inverters and comprehensive system monitoring. The system is fitted with a Fronius Sensor Box, which allows the operator to keep an eye on the ambient and module temperature as well as irradiation levels and wind speed.

We opted for products from Fronius owing to the excellent yields they produce,” explains Claude Peters from RenEnergy. “Fronius also provides outstanding technical support for our projects.”
