When the sun is shining, you want to make the most of it. The Energy Cost Assistant ensures that your solar power is not lost, even when the feed-in limit is active. It thinks for itself, plans ahead, and stores more energy in the battery for later.

Using variable tariffs cost-effectively
With the Fronius Energy Cost Assistant, it’s even possible to optimally utilize variable electricity tariffs: the assistant adapts to changing energy prices, continuously identifying the best time to charge or discharge the battery.
Energy prices are retrieved directly from the exchange and integrated into the AI-supported energy optimization. If the electricity price is low at night, for example, the battery is automatically charged via the grid, which means that you benefit from low electricity prices even when the sun isn’t shining.
The assistant also limits the discharge of your battery when the electricity price is very low, ensuring sufficient battery reserves that can easily be accessed when electricity prices rise. This allows you to absorb high consumption peaks and thereby avoid expensive electricity tariffs.
Does all this charging and discharging shorten the service life of the battery? No, the Fronius Energy Cost Assistant takes into account the degradation of your energy storage device and weighs up when it is really economically worthwhile to purchase low-cost grid current.
