To take part in the welding challenge contest, entrants simply need to register at yourweldingchallenge.com and fill in the online form. Participants are asked to specify the key points of the challenge, for example the current status or base material and filler metal. Photos and videos can also be uploaded.
Around 50 participants from different fields have already submitted their challenges. On the yourweldingchallenge.com website, some of the entries are displayed anonymously. Among them are problems such as the welding of different materials or digital interconnectivity in production. However, it is also possible to submit challenges privately, so that they are not visible to others. This means that companies and private individuals who do not want to share their challenges publicly can also take part.
Out of all the entries submitted by 15th January 2018, a Fronius expert jury will select three truly testing challenges. The prize includes an opportunity to carry out extensive welding trials, including reporting, in order to overcome the challenge. An invitation to the Fronius headquarters in Wels, Austria and an interesting programme of events also awaits the winners.
