Fronius respiratory protection system
Fresh air system for safe and comfortable welding

What hazards and dangers do welders face due to welding fumes?
All welding processes produce fumes, gases, and vapors that affect welders. How harmful the welding fume released actually is depends on the welding process, the base material, the filler metals—from the filler rod and wire electrode—and the shielding gas.
Most of the welding fume particles produced come from the filler metals used during welding. Without adequate protection, welding fumes can lead to acute symptoms such as headaches and nausea, and over a longer period of time can even cause chronic respiratory illness and lung disease, damage to the nervous system or cancer.

Filtered air for effective respiratory protection during welding
Respiratory protection is an essential part of personal protective equipment during welding work. PAPR systems (powered air-purifying respirator) offer the greatest protection against welding fumes: they filter up to 98.8% of welding fume particles out of the air breathed in by the welder.
When used in combination with mobile extraction systems—for both high-vacuum or low-vacuum extraction—welding fume pollution can also be significantly reduced in the ambient air.

Vizor Air/3X respiratory protection system—for filtered air and crystal clear vision
Our Vizor Air/3X PAPR system provides reliable respiratory protection during welding. It consists of a powered air-purifying respirator, air hose, and carry strap.
In combination with one of our compatible welding helmets, the system filters up to 99.8% of welding fume particles out of the ambient air. This is made possible by a TH3P-R-SL particle filter, the highest protection classification for respiratory protection filters.
The purified air is fed directly into the welding helmet via the connecting hose—for fresh air and unbeatable protection during every welding task.

An added bonus
PAPR systems generate a pleasant cooling effect, in particular at high ambient temperatures, resulting in even greater working comfort.
