WPS packages: Optimize welding processes, ensure quality

When it comes to welding work, compliance with international standards and legal regulations is just as important as the consistency, uniformity, and reliability of the welds produced. With pre-qualified and standardized welding procedure specifications you will find it easier to satisfy international requirements, keep the quality of your welding work dependably high, and reduce procedure testing costs.

Embrace efficiency and quality with our SWPS packages. Companies seeking to secure successful certification in accordance with standards like EN 1090-2 face complex internal processes and an external audit. Our SWPS packages cover one of the requirements for the WPK and CE labels of welded constructions— enabling you to fulfill these requirements easily and economically. The CE label is a globally recognized quality mark and offers a competitive advantage, but it does require traceable manufacturing in accordance with welding procedure specifications.

Standardized welding procedure specifications as defined in EN ISO 15612 contain details regarding material grades, thicknesses, and filler metals. They serve as a binding “roadmap” and define the parameters for each weld to ensure reproducibility of the weld seam. Welding procedure specifications are provided in digital form on a customer-specific basis. Our SWPS package not only saves you huge costs, but also a great deal of time.

Efficient welding instructions with our SWPS packages

If work is to take place in accordance with ISO 3834, appropriate welding procedure specifications at the workplace are a must. Our SWPS packages make the path to a finished welding procedure specification much easier

While steps 1 to 3 of the procedure demand extensive planning work, the costs for qualifying procedures in step 4 are high, in particular for small and mediumsized companies. This is where we come in— offering a ready-made, cost-effective SWPS package for steel and stainless applications that completely eliminates all organizational and testing costs.

The packages also contain practical information regarding appropriate welding parameters. Fronius SWPS packages save you time and money and lay the foundation for ensuring that your welding work meets the highest quality standards.
