Robot torch systems at a glance

With robotic welding applications, it’s usually the material, the length of the hosepack, and the welding process that determine which torch system to use. We differentiate between a Push system and a Push/Pull system, which involves attaching a second wirefeeder directly to the torch body. This provides a stable welding process, even in the case of long wirefeed distances, soft filler metals, or special applications, such as CMT.
Wear parts
It’s not just the right welding torch and correct geometry that ensure a stable welding process. The appropriate wear parts also play a crucial role.
Perfectly complementing the respective material and application, they help you save time and money.
Water cooling
Water-cooled versions of all our robot welding torches are also available.
The cooling system is located as far to the front and to the outside of the torch body as possible. The special shape of the contact tip means that less radiant heat is absorbed, which in itself reduces the temperature of the wear parts by up to 70°C, increasing their service life.

All welding processes generate a mix of fumes and gases that will adversely affect the health of the welder unless adequate protective measure are implemented. The Exento extraction kit for robot welding torches removes the welding fumes at exactly the point they are generated, and before they have a chance to spread.

Changing and cleaning systems for welding robots

Robacta CTC: Changing system for contact tips
Automatic contact tip changeover in just 50 seconds: Having to change the contact tip manually is a time-consuming process and means production has to stop. The Robacta CTC automates the whole process, with the changeover taking no more than 50 seconds – without any human intervention or production downtime.
Robacta TX/i: Torch body changing system
Automatic torch body changeover in just 30 seconds: The automatic replacement of the complete torch body takes places without any human intervention while production is in progress. This ensures that all the wear parts that affect the TCP and weld quality are renewed.
Cleaning systems: Fully automated welding torch cleaning
When correctly cleaned, the service life of a torch’s wear parts can be increased by a factor of four. Depending on the welding material and application, we provide cleaning systems that are suitable for the relevant welding torches and wear parts.
