The TPS/i welding system versions at a glance

The TPS/i is available with gas or water cooling in the 320i C, 400, 500, and 600 A power categories.

Compact welding systems: TPS/i 270 C and TPS/i 320 C

In compact units in the lower power categories, the wirefeeder is integrated directly into the housing of the welding system. As a result, the devices are easier to use, especially for manual welding tasks, and also suitable for mobile applications.

Easy to operate: everything at a glance

The system is operated using the central press-and-turn button or via the touchscreen. Users receive direct support in the form of graphic-based instructions and dynamic visualizations when making changes to parameters.

Welding packages  - the ultimate in flexibility

Depending on the welding requirements, the TPS/i can be equipped with different software packages, known as Welding Packages—from the introductory package to the high-end solution. The modular structure and regular software updates expand the system’s range of functions, providing the user with the perfect configuration to suit every challenge. The standard or pulse processes are available as basic packages. The advanced Welding Packages LSC, PMC, or CMT, are available for particularly demanding welding tasks.

Standard

  • The Standard package includes the dip transfer arc and the spray arc. Easy to use and suitable across the entire performance spectrum of unalloyed, low- and high-alloy materials.

Pulse

  • The Pulse package from Fronius facilitates pulsed arc welding. This guarantees low levels of spattering as well as a variable working range (light gage to thick gage sheets).

LSC—Low Spatter Control

  • LSC is a MIG/MAG welding process with high arc stability and reduced spattering in the dip transfer arc. In addition, the penetration stabilizer enables constant penetration in the spray arc, regardless of any possible stick out change.

PMC - Pulse Multi Control

  • PMC is a modified pulsed arc used in MIG/MAG welding. It utilizes penetration and arc length stabilizers to guarantee both higher weld seam quality and faster welding speeds.

  • This highly specific type of droplet detachment minimizes the heat input. The reversing wire electrode movement also reduces the level of spattering.

Velo is a reliable solution for all companies looking to optimize their manual welding operations and achieve perfect seams every time on steel and chrome-nickel.

It can also be easily retrofitted as the new Velo components (OPT/i Velo, WF 25i Velo, torch adapter) are also available for existing welding systems.

The TPS/i is modular and can therefore be integrated very easily into various robotic welding systems.

The system setup supports customer-specific configurations, such as Push or PushPull solutions. Optional system extensions include torch cleaning devices and automated torch replacement.
